Biography
An extremely exceptional prize-winning saxophonist and pillar of the
elite in the German music scene. His references show how multifaceted
and expressional he can play. Already, with his first Jazz ensemble A
DUO, ROOL had won the German National Jazz Award. He carved through
the music world of Howard Carpendale, plays pop music for artists like
Vanessa Petruo from "No Angels", Stefan Gwildis, and Jan Delay, or
puts his touch on the music of international soul artists, such as
Mousse T., Tom Jones, or Roachford. That is how he was brought to the
band stand with the original members of the James Brown Band, before
he graduated from the Hanns Eisler Conservatory in Berlin. In the
club scene, he is already established with his own diverse acts and
plays with DJ's throughout Europe as well.
Since the beginning of his career, ROOL has also been doing some
studio work as an arranger and composer for various artists. One
could find his arrangements on albums from "Die Prinzen" as well as
Udo Lindenberg's "Stark Wie Zwei" album, that has already received
Gold and double Platinum record sales status. As an arranger, one
could also find his works in films for Bernd Eichinger and other
various international TV spots.
